To help safeguard a Mediterranean basin with healthy ecosystems that are properly managed, enhanced and protected in the face of the climate emergency and the sixth mass extinction of species:<\/p>

This is the common desire of the Consortium’s regional member organizations to pool their knowledge and skills in the management of diverse ecosystems, which are often treated in silos, and ultimately to act more effectively.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Launched in 2021, the Mediterranean Biodiversity Consortium aims to meet the challenges of conservation in the Mediterranean, by mobilizing the expertise, know-how and networks of its members. It promotes more coherent, coordinated and complementary action on a regional scale, where some of the most fragile ecosystems – sea, coastline, forests, small islands and wetlands – coexist and are all too often managed in isolation.<\/p>

With many years’ experience in the design and implementation of solutions adapted to the management of natural areas, the Consortium adopts an integrated and adaptive approach to meet the challenges of global change in the Mediterranean. Its multi-ecosystem approach enhances the effectiveness of conservation actions carried out in the region’s interconnected natural habitats, with the aim of restoring ecosystem services essential to the well-being of human societies.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
