Introduction to the Nature-based Solutions
concept and examples of implementation

This three-hour webinar presents an overview of the Nature-based Solutions (NBS) concept according to the IUCN standard, and the self-assessment tool developed by IUCN to support NBS design and planning. Three case studies from around the Mediterranean basin illustrate the SfN implementation process.

The aim of this webinar was to a) present the approach and issues associated with the concept of a single health in relation to natural environment management activities; b) identify the problems and difficulties faced by conservation players in relation to human and animal health issues; c) identify the needs for support and assistance to facilitate the consideration of health issues in natural area management activities.
