RESCOM (Strengthening the Resilience of Ecosystems in the Mediterranean), the CMB’s first flagship project, puts this commitment into practice across 15 sites spread across eight Mediterranean countries: Albania, Egypt, Italy, Libya, Morocco, Montenegro, Tunisia and Turkey. By providing direct support to natural area managers, the initiative implements conservation and restoration measures focused on ecological connectivity. Restoring these links is essential for species mobility and the maintenance of major natural balances, such as water and nutrient cycles.
